　　分析：be used to中的“to”是介词，后面不能接动词原形，只能接名词或动名词，构成“be used to sth/doing sth”结构，意思是“习惯于某事或做某事”，时态的变化体现在动词be上面，而used to后接动词原形，表示“过去常做某事”隐含着与现在的对比，现在已发生变化，它只用于过去时态。
　　根据题意，A、C选项显然不对，B选项不合题意，所以正确答案是D。请比较：

　　一种是倒装句。

　　分析：情态动词may(也许)、must(肯定)、can＇t(不可能)，而mustn＇t是禁止、不允许之意，无猜测的意思。所以，根据后句“她的名字写在书的封面上”判断,此句表示有把握的猜测，故用must.正确答案是A。
　　4. ________of them could work out this difficult maths problem. So they had to go to their teacher for help.

　　(1) Cathy hoped to meet John at the station.
　　(2) Father hoped(that)I could buy him a present on his birthday.
