比较级表达最高级句型 [比较级句型，最高级含义]

　　英语中大多数的形容词和副词都有比较级结构，用于两者之间进行比较。但有时候，比较级句型也能表达最高级含义。可以表达最高级含义的主要有以下几种比较级句型。　　1．比较级＋than＋any{other＋单数名词、(any of) the other＋复数名词、alltheothers、anyoftheothers}
　　 He is taller than any other boy of the class.
　　他比班里任何一个男孩都高。（他最高。）
　　He is taller than any of the other boys of the class.
　　他比班里其他的男孩都高。（他最高。）
　　She jumps farther than （all） the others.
　　她跳得比其他人都远。（她跳得最远。）
　　The cake is nicer than any of the others.
　　这块蛋糕比其他任何一块都好吃。（这块最好吃。）
　　2．比较级＋than＋anything/anyone else
　　It’s more important to study than anything else.
　　学习比其他什么都重要。（学习最重要。）
　　He ate more than anyone else.
　　他比其他的人吃得都多。（他吃得最多。）
　　3．no，nothing，nobody，never等含有否定意义的词+比较级
　　I like nothing better than singing.
　　比起唱歌来，我什么也不喜欢。（我最喜欢唱歌。）
　　Nobody can do this work better than he.
　　做这项工作没有人比他更好。（他做得最好。）
　　Never have I seen a more beautiful bird.
　　我从未看见过这么美丽的鸟。（这是我见过的最美丽的鸟。）
　　4．no one＋...＋比较级＋than sb./sth.
　　No one can speak English better than she in her class.
　　她们班没有人英语说得比她好。（在她们班，她英语说得最好。）
　　5．no other＋单数名词＋...＋比较级＋than sb./sth.
　　No other girl is taller than Lily in the class.
　　班里没有女孩比莉莉更高。（莉莉是班里最高的女孩。）
　　6．can’t be＋比较级
　　It can’t be better to stay here.
　　没有什么比呆在这里更好的了。（呆在这里真是好极了。）
　　It can’t be worse.
　　没有什么更糟糕的了。（真是糟透了。）
　　另外，“as ... as possible/sb. can（could）”句型也可表达最高级含义。如：
　　I’ll be back as soon as possible / I can.
　　我将尽快回来。
　　 Water the trees as often as possible / you can.
　　尽可能常给树浇水。
　　Come as early as possibly / you can.
