英语中有两种副词,一种与形容词同形,另一种由相同的形容词加后缀-ly构成｡这两种不同形式的副词,有些含义相同,有些略有不同,有些则完全不同｡现将其主要意义和用法归纳如下:
1. clean, cleanly
副词 clean 意为“径直地”､“完全地”｡例如:
The bullet went clean through his arm. 子弹整个儿穿过他的胳膊｡
I clean forgot about it. 我完全忘掉了这件事｡
副词 cleanly 意为“干净利落地”｡例如:
This knife doesn’t cut cleanly. 这把刀切起来不利落｡
2. close, closely
