    莎丽和小鱼|莎莉

    　　Shally and the Little Fish 　　 　　There was a big river. In the big river there was a big fish. The big fish was very bad. It wanted to eat a boy or a girl every year. So the people（人们）there had to send（送）a boy or a girl to the big fish every year; if（如果）not, the big fish would (will-would)drown（淹死）them ,the people couldn’t do anything about it.
    　　The time came to send Shally to the big fish. Little Shally sat (sit-sat) in a small boat in the middle of the river. She didn’t want to die, and she was sobbing(哭泣). The little fish saw Shally, they were very sorry for the little girl and they wanted to do something to help her, “Don’t sob, Shally, let’s think of an idea.?The little fish found a knife and gave(give-gave) it to Shally. Then, the big fish came to eat Shally. All the little fish nibbled（啃）the big fish, and the big fish was hurt（疼痛）.Shally took out the knife and killed （杀）it. The big fish died. Shally and the other girls and boys there were all saved（得救）。

    　　有一条大河，大河里有一条大鱼。这条大鱼非常可恶。它每年都要吃掉一个男孩儿或是女孩儿。那儿的人们每年必须给这条鱼送一个男孩儿或者女孩儿。
    　　现在该把莎丽送给大鱼了。小莎丽坐河中心的小船里。她不想死，她在啜泣。小鱼们看见了她，它们非常同情小女孩儿，想帮帮她：“别哭，莎丽，我们来想想办法。”小鱼找到一把刀，把它交给了莎丽。现在，大鱼游过来要吃莎丽了。所有的小鱼都游了过来一点一点地啃大鱼，大鱼疼得无法。莎丽抽出刀，杀死了大鱼。大鱼死了。莎丽和那个地方的女孩儿、男孩儿们都得救了。
