【《七磅》：幸福的重量】幸福的重量歌曲

　　蒂姆原本幸福美满的人生因为一场车祸而彻底破碎。了结残生之前，他从美国国税局的档案里挑选了七个身处困境的人，冒充弟弟“本”的身份和他们进行接触，观察他们是否确实值得帮助――在和先天性心脏病患者埃米莉的交往中，两人慢慢产生了感情，蒂姆那颗绝望的心灵也在埃米莉温柔的爱意中得到了救赎……
　　看完电影，似乎马上就明白了影片名的含义――成人心脏重量约为一磅（合450克），七磅代表了七个心脏、七个家庭、蒂姆捐出去的七样东西，以及由此而被拯救的七段人生。（网上另一个解释是这说法出自《威尼斯商人》――欠下的债务要用一磅的血肉来偿还。）继《当幸福来敲门》（The Pursuit of Happyness）之后，导演加布里尔・穆其诺（Gabriele Muccino）与威尔・史密斯再次合作，给这个冬去春来的时节带来一份深沉的感动……

　　Tim: Are you receiving income from any source that the government’s currently unaware of?
　　Emily: No. Actually I had to refinance[（房屋）重新贷款]
　　this place to pay my past two medical bills.
　　Tim: I’ve been informed that you suffer from
　　congenital[先天的] heart failure.
　　Emily: Yes. Did you gather that while stalking[跟踪] me at the hospital?
　　Tim: No, I, I haven’t. You’re currently Status 2, which means you’re sick enough to be on a national, you know, waiting list, but not sick enough to be admitted into the hospital and placed on Status 1, so, basically, if your heart starts to fail quickly and no donor[捐赠者]

　　Emily: Do you have to take any type of sensitivity training注1 to join the IRS注2, Mr. Thomas?
　　Tim: No, not really.
　　Emily: Yeah.
　　Tim: So you don’t consider yourself a good person?
　　Emily: How would you answer that question if I asked you the same?
　　Tim: “Unremarkable” would be an upgrade for me, I assure you. I’m going to freeze your accounts as
　　“uncollectable” until further notice. I’m sure that’ll buy you five or six months penalty[罚款] free. Here’s my card. If anyone from the IRS tries to contact you, you call me immediately.
　　Emily: Okay. Thank you.
　　Tim: Thank you (walks away).
　　Emily: Mr. Thomas!
　　Tim: Yes.
　　Emily: Why do I get the feeling you’re doing me a really big favor right now?
　　Tim: Because I get the feeling that you really deserve it.

　　“feeling”这个词的用法有点复杂。一般来说，当它表示“感觉”时为可数名词，例如a feeling of danger（危险的感觉）。如果要表达某种感情的话，就只能用复数形式，例如maternal feelings（母爱），我们经常会听见别人说have very strong feelings on sth.（对某事十分反感）或者no hard feelings（别生气），这时一定要加“s”。而当feeling指的是“知觉”、“愤慨”或者“谅解”时则为不可数名词，例如：
　　He lost all feeling in his toes. （他的脚趾完全失去了知觉。）
　　在原声中出现的feeling后面用that引出某种感想或者看法（that可以省略），作为可数或不可数名词用都可以，例如：
　　I have a feeling we’re being followed. （我有种感觉――我们被人跟踪了。）

　　本期的原声语速较慢，语调变化少，整体难度不高，对于练习过这么多期role-play的同学来说应该是a piece of cake了吧？但是，要把这段貌似毫不激烈的对话演绎好可不容易哦，要留意两位主人公如何通过语气的改变来表现心情变化以及彼此之间那种微妙的情愫。

　　Emily: Yeah. (Both laugh.) Haven’t felt like this in a really long time. So many things that I wanna do. I wanna go in a plane for 13 hours and not have to stress that I can’t reach my doctor. You know, like just travel, go backpacking, have experiences, see the world. I just wanna have the time to figure out who it is that I am, you know, what I like. Do things, try things, get out of my head[（酒醉后）神智混乱] for once. I would really like to go running. I think about that
