　　A survey carried out in late March revealed that a majority of Australians consider US foreign policy as much of a threat to world peace as Islamic fundamentalism. 57% of respondents said that US foreign policy was a danger to the stability of the international situation and 68% believed that Australia paid too much attention to the US in setting its own foreign policy. The survey was conducted by the Lowy Institute for International Policy. They also found that on a list of fifteen Australian allies, America ranked 11th place with Australians for "positive feelings". Australia sent 2000 troops to the war in Iraq and still maintains a force of 300 there, with another 600 in the Middle East.

　　Foreign Travel Agencies Get More Access to Chinese Market

　　The China National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of Commerce lowered the entry level requirements and liberalized the restrictions for foreign investment in domestic travel agencies. The most notable changes are that the lowest limit of registered capital for foreign owned companies has been reduced to RMB2.5 Million from RMB4 Million, and these types of enterprises are no longer confined to operations in a limited number of Chinese cities.

Schroder"s government has been trying to introduce economic reforms to improve Germany"s competitiveness and halt the increase in unemployment. Schroder is certain that the conditions are now suitable for growth but is dismayed at the trend of German company"s to move their operations overseas. Early this year, unemployment in Germany reached 12.6%, the highest since the 1930s.

Plants, frescoes and music will be used to make patients feel more relaxed and comfortable.

The fast-food giant does not intend to pay a direct fee for having their most famous product mentioned but will offer the rap artist $1 to $5 for every time the song is aired on radio.

　　Two villages in Wales have banished analogue television and replaced it with digital TV last month. The villages of Ferryside and Llansteffan, and Berlin, are the only places in Europe to have digital only TV signals. The British government plans to have every television in Britain switched to digital by 2012 and the lessons learned from the experience of the two Welsh villages will be used to prepare the rest of the country for the changeover.

　　Old Habits Die Hard, the single from the acclaimed soundtrack of Alfie，was named Best Original Song in a Motion Picture, at the 2005 Golden Globe Awards. The song is one of thirteen originals written, produced and performed by Mick Jagger and Dave Stewart. The song was created for the 2004 version, starring Jude Law, of the classic 1966 comedy. Stewart had initially invited his old friend Jagger to collaborate on three songs for Alfie, but the teaming proved so productive creatively that the duo produced the entire soundtrack album together.
