　　“hit the sack”、“get one"s head down”和“turn in”都是“去睡觉”的意思。

　　early start、late start和lie-in
　　如果因为第二天有事要办需要起得特别早，那么这种情况就叫“early start”；与之相对，如果第二天要做的事情不需要早起，那么这种情况就被称为“late start”。另外，如果第二天早上不需要早起，那么你很可能会赖在床上，即使是醒了的话也不愿意起床，那么这种情况就叫做“lie-in”。

　　nap、snooze和doze
　　“nap”是“打瞌睡”的意思。“snooze”和“doze”与“nap”在意思上相近，但区别在于：“snooze”含有睡得不沉的意味；而“doze”则是指你可以在“doze”的时候保持清醒的情形，即你确实很困要闭上眼睛休息一下，也就是“假寐，微睡”的意思。
