Andrew Adamson (Director): Prince Caspian brings our four Pevensie children back to Narnia. 1,300 years have past and the world they knew no longer exists. I think it’s a grittier[坚韧不拔的], darker story.
Howard Berger (Special Makeup): Now we go on a whole new adventure that we’ve never seen, characters that we’ve never met. It’s a whole different world!
Adamson: This story introduces Prince Caspian who will actually feature in the next three of these stories.
Ben Barnes (“Prince Caspian”):
Caspian has to learn how to be a
leader. It’s a very interesting “coming of age[成年]” story really.
Adamson: Because of the way the last film was structured, action was really the button on the end of the film注1, whereas in Prince Caspian it’s more inherent[内在的] to the story.
Barnes: The battles are gonna be
really epic in this one.
William Moseley (“Peter Pevensie”): I think people are gonna be amazed by what they see.
Mark Johnson (Producer): On The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, we did a fair amount of R&D注2 work because a, a number of the visual effects that we have in that movie had not been done before.
Adamson: This time we’ve got creatures built; we’ve
done the design work. It gives us the opportunity to actually play more on screen. I mean, I always wanted in the battle to see the different ways these individual creatures fight. And now we can do more of that, we can see how fauns[半人半羊的农牧神] fight
differently from minotaurs[人身牛头的怪物] and
centaurs[人首马身的怪物] and gryphons[半狮半鹫的怪兽]. I think that’s gonna be really fun. There’s this wonderful sense of nostalgia[怀旧之情] in this story that I actually feel about as a filmmaker going back into this experience.
Berger: It’s unlike the first film. It has far more
action. It has more drama. I really think it’s an
amazing, exciting, thrilling[使人激动的] ride.

The characters of C.S. Lewis’s timeless fantasy come to life once again in the newest “Narnia” film. In The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, the Pevensie siblings[兄弟，姐妹] are magically transported back from England to the world of Narnia, where a dangerous new adventure and an even greater test of their faith and courage await them.
One year after the events of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the Kings and Queens of Narnia find themselves back in that faraway wondrous[奇妙的] realm[领域], only to discover that more than 1,300 years have passed in Narnian time. During their absence[不在], the Golden Age of Narnia has become extinct; Narnia has been conquered by the
Telmarines and is now under the control of the evil King Miraz, who rules the land without mercy.
The four children will soon meet a new character: Narnia’s
rightful[合法的] heir[继承人] to the throne, the young Prince Caspian. He has been forced into hiding as his uncle Miraz wants to kill him in order to place his own son on the throne. With the help of the kindly dwarf[矮人],
