Growth, Never Refuse ! From the baby swallow who is learning to sing and fly to the adult seagull who is hovering in the storm; from the little bud which is so tender to the tall tree which is so strong that can"t be hurt by wind and rain; from the green and vital spring to the thriving and flowering summer... All of these things are growing up.Remember, it"s not growing older, but growing stronger.
As soon as we were born, we were endowed with a mission which we could not refuse to grow up. Just one minute ago, you were still struggling hard in your mother"s womb, but one minute later, you were enjoying the first beam of sunshine.Next, there were your mum"s affectionate hug and your dad"s gentle caress, and then came beautiful headgears, colorful clothes, delicious milk, sweet candies, interesting dolls and toy cars. Everything for you was new. So was your heart. It was so pure, without any hurt or darkness.
On the first day you were sent to the kindergarten, you pushed away the teacher and cried, looking for your mum.To your surprise, mom shook her head and shrugged her shoulders, saying to you that you should learn to get along with your little classmates because you couldn"t be with her all the time.You can"t remember exactly what happened at that period of time since you were at such a young age then, but these words have been engraved in your mind and you can never erase them. Several years later, you entered primary school. You were so happy with a new small schoolbag on your back.However, from that moment on, you began to shoulder the weight of books, the pressure of study, the worry of exams, your teacher"s instruction and your parents" expectation; you began to quarrel with your classmates; you began to lie to your mother sometimes;your ears began to be full of less sweet praises and more harsh criticism; your ass began to be covered with scars, and your young heart began to know what the fear of being punished was. At that time, whom you admire most is the teacher. You were looking forward to growing up so that you could be a teacher.
Time went by so fast.You became a teenager.You realized amazedly that your old buddies had gone into different schools and you were so far away from each other. All of you were clung to the turntable of competition, which whirled faster as you grew older.You were quite likely to be thrown out of it unless you tried your best to hold it. It was cruel but exciting, and it was dangerous but stimulating. Losers always complained that life was so cruel that they wanted to return to the carefree childhood; while winners always felt so excited that they hoped to grow elder and elder and looked for more and more challenges.In your mind,everything seemed to be not as simple as it used to be. More confusion came into your brain. You were confused by parental love and you were puzzled by friendship.The kind men were not always kind, and the wicked men were not always wicked.It seemed as if no clear border existed between these two worlds. Everything was so blurred that you couldn"t have a better view. You were deceived many times because of your kindness, and you were totally disappointed by the ugly social phenomena. There was a period of time when you wanted to criticize everything. But later on, you learned a say- ing by Liu Yong, "Though the sky has not been warmed up, the earth becomes warm first, therefore, some flowers are able to come up through the snow and blossom; though other people"s heart has not been warmed up, your heart becomes warm first, therefore,you are able to be a clean stream in this filthy world." Until then you understood you should go after beauty and success.Your heart was refilled with sunshine.And the sunshine was more colorful and more beautiful.
Looking at your image in the mirror,and then comparing it with your picture which was taken in your childhood, you found great changes had taken place on you. You realized you had walked a long way in your life. No, you are not old. You are more mature, and you are stronger. You have just arrived at the station of summer, and it is just the beginning of your life. There would be more challenges ahead.So, don"t be afraid of growing up, and don"t refuse growing up. As long as you believe in yourself, you will never be old!

从呢喃的小燕到在暴风雨中翱翔的海燕，从细枝嫩叶任风拂吹的小芽到高大魁梧遮风挡雨的大树，从温婉可爱百草绿的春天到坚强热情万花香的夏日……所有这一切都在成长。记住，不是变老，是变坚强。
自呱呱落地那一刻起，我们被负担上了人生赋予我们的不容推辞的任务――成长。一分钟前还在妈妈腹中昏天黑地地挣扎，一分钟后便有人生的第一缕阳光照在了身上；接着是妈妈的怀抱和爸爸温暖的大手；然后是红头绳、花衣裳，是醇香的牛奶和甜蜜蜜的糖果，是洋娃娃和小汽车……一切都是新的，心也是新的，没有创伤，没有阴暗。
被送进了幼儿园，狠狠地推开阿姨，哭着嚷着要妈妈。妈妈无可奈何地摊摊手、摇摇头，轻轻地把教导的话嵌入你的记忆里：“不能总跟着妈妈，要学会和小朋友在一起。”因为太小太小，这一段的记忆总是模糊的，仿佛跳过了很长的一段时间，直接进入了小学的校园。背上书包总是欢天喜地地，蹦蹦跳跳地就成了一年级的“小豆包”。于是，小小的肩膀上扛起了读书、考试、老师的教导和家长的牢骚；于是，和同学有了斤斤计较，对妈妈也有了不实通报；于是，耳朵里钻进了不总是好听的话语，好像那叫做批评；于是，屁股上少不了煎熬，心里也滋生了怕挨打的恐惧……春天里下起了小雨，听说这是滋润小芽的露水，喝了它才能长大。那时候最崇拜的就是老师，最盼望的就是长大，长大了也当一名老师。
春秋轮回，光阴荏苒，转眼间真的长大了，却还是不够大，只是从幼儿变成了少年。惊讶地发现，曾经一起玩闹的伙伴竟自各奔东西，到了不同的学校，隔得好远好远。这是角逐，这是竞争，我们都粘附在一个飞速旋转的大转盘上，越是长大，转得越快，不努力抓住就会被甩出局，多么残酷又是多么刺激呀!失败者总是觉得残酷，总想回到童年，不用奋斗，无需拼搏；胜利者总是感到刺激，总想成长，寻求更多的挑战、更广的天地。少年，仿佛随之而来的便是困惑，对亲情、友情的困惑，似乎什么不再那么简单，似乎所有的事都有不同的层面。好人不总是好人，坏人也不绝对是坏人，好像事情再也没有清晰的界限，人生仿佛被蒙上了脸。丑恶占据了视线，肮脏挡住了眼帘，曾经有一个阶段，什么都想拿来批判。后来把一句刘墉的话背得滚烂：“天没暖，大地先暖，所以有许多花能够钻出冰雪绽放；人情不暖，内心先暖，所以我们能在这乱世间作一剂清流。”方隐隐明白了人要追求美好，人要积极上进。于是内心重又洒满了阳光，只是这一次阳光的色彩变得更加纷繁可爱。
看看镜子，拿来小时候的照片，怎么不像了?老了，老了，人生竟已走过这许多路程!不是老了，是成熟了，是坚强了，是从春天走进夏天了，人生才刚刚开始，前方还充满挑战!成长，不容推辞。永远的无忧无虑会使人生变得没有意义。即便已步入冬天，只要心年轻，就不老。记住，只能说成长，不能言老!
