【小议否定】小议一种社会现象

　　在英语中,有肯定句､否定句和疑问句,而否定句,又有全部否定､部分否定和双重否定之分｡本文拟谈谈各种否定｡　　
　　一､全部否定
　　
　　含有no, none, nobody, nothing, nowhere, neither, never 等否定词的句子称为全部否定句｡例如:
　　Neither of her parents is a teacher. 她的爸爸妈妈都不是教师｡
　　I like none of these books. 这些书我哪一本都不喜欢｡
　　No pains, no gains. 不劳无获｡
　　Nowhere does the report mention the name of the people invited. 整篇报道都没有提谁受到了邀请｡
　　None of them have been to China. 他们当中谁也没有去过中国｡
　　Money meant nothing to Einstein. 钱对爱因斯坦来说不算什么｡
　　由“neither... nor...”､“not... or...”连接的并列成分,以及由介词“without... or(and)...”连接的短语也能构成全部否定｡例如:
　　Neither he nor I know the place. 他和我都不知道这个地方｡
　　She can neither read nor write English. 她不会读英语也不会写英语｡
　　Fish will die without air or water. 没有空气和水,鱼就会死亡｡
　　
　　二､部分否定
　　
　　all, each, every(及其派生词), both, always, often, entirely, wholly等含总括意义的代词､形容词和副词与否定词not连用,可构成部分否定,表示“不都”､“并非都”的意思｡例如:
　　All these things are not mine.(= Not all these things are mine.) 这些东西并不都是我的｡
　　Both of us didn’t agree with you.(= Not both of us agree with you.) 我们俩人并不是都同意你的意见｡
　　Everyone is not here.(=Not everyone is here.) 并不是每一个人都来了｡
　　I don’t know both of them. 他们俩人我并非都认识｡
　　若要将上述例句改为全部否定,则变为:
　　None of these things are mine. 这些东西都不是我的｡
　　Neither of us agreed with you. 我们俩人都不同意你的意见｡
　　No one is here. 一个人也没有来｡
　　I know neither of them. 他们俩我都不认识｡
　　三､双重否定句
　　两个否定词出现在同一个句子中,即构成双重否定｡这种形式上的双重否定句含有强烈的肯定意义｡常见的双重否定句有下列形式:
　　(1) 否定词 + without + 名词(动名词)
　　There would be no new China without the Communist Party. 没有共产党就没有新中国｡
　　(2) 否定词 + 含否定词缀的词
　　Now we find it impossible not to study English hard. 现在我们感觉到必须要努力学习英语｡
　　注意:若句中仅仅有含否定前缀或后缀(un-, in-, im-, dis-, non-, -less)的词,则此句不能算作否定句｡例如:
　　She is very careless, isn’t she? 她很不细心,对不对?
　　Air is invisible, isn’t it? 空气是看不见的,不是吗?
　　You are unhappy today, aren’t you? 你今天不高兴,对吗?
