　　故事简介 　　 　　威尔伯是一头发育不良的猪，一出生就面临被宰杀的命运，幸亏小女孩弗恩救了他，并把他安置在邻居朱克曼先生的农场里。在那里，热情的威尔伯认识了许多朋友，其中包括了蜘蛛夏洛特。由于夏洛特捕杀猎物的方式残忍，而且还在交配后杀死了配偶，农场里所有动物都对她敬而远之。所以，夏洛特十分珍视这段友情。随着圣诞节的临近，威尔伯又一次面临成为盘中餐的危机。为了拯救威尔伯，夏洛特用她的网相继织出了几个词―“some pig”、“terrific”和“radiant”，吸引了很多人来参观。后来，朱克曼先生把威尔伯带到集市参加比赛。可是对手体型硕大，威尔伯要赢得比赛几乎是不可能的任务。怀孕的夏洛特拖着疲惫的身躯织出了“humble”这个词，最终使威尔伯拿到奖牌，保住了性命。然而此时夏洛特已经走到了生命的尽头，百般不舍的威尔伯只好带着夏洛特的卵囊回到农场。第二年春天，小蜘蛛破囊而出，很多都随风飘走了，只有3只留在农场。威尔伯又有了新朋友，这里以后还会有更多新生命诞生―正如夏洛特所说，生命就是一个周而复始的过程。（有关本片的详细介绍，请查阅CE:Teens 2007年1月“强档电影”栏目。）

　　Wilbur: I’m speaking to whoever spoke to me last night.
　　Charlotte: I’d suppose that would be me.
　　Wilbur: Okay. I can’t see you.
　　Charlotte: Up here, in the corner. The other corner.
　　Wilbur: I’m sorry. I still can’t see you.
　　Charlotte: Move a little closer. I’ll come down.
　　Wilbur: I’re never met a spider before. Did you make that? Is that what you were concentrating[集中（精神）] on last night?
　　Charlotte: Yes.
　　Wilbur: It’s amazing! Think you could teach me how to make one of those?
　　Charlotte: Oh, hold that thought, please.
　　Wilbur: What are you doing?
　　Charlotte: Making breakfast.
　　Wilbur: Oh, boy!
　　Charlotte: Relax. First, I give him a little nip to anesthetize[使麻痹] him, so he’ll be more comfortable. It’s a little service I throw in[额外奉送]. Then I wrap him up. Then I just say grace[（饭前）感恩祈祷] because, well, that’s always nice, and he’ll make a perfectly delicious meal.
　　Wilbur: So, you eat flies?
　　Charlotte: No, no, no. I drink their blood.
　　Wilbur: That’s disgusting[令人作呕的].
　　Charlotte: Well, that’s easy for you to say. You have all your meals brought to you in a pail[提桶]. I don’t get that kind of royal treatment. I am a trapper[设陷阱捕兽者]. I have to catch my food. Which is why I make my home near you. And just imagine how many bugs there would be in this barn[畜棚], no, actually, in the world, if spiders didn’t catch them. Insects would take over the planet! The way I see it, I’m doing everyone a favor.
　　Wilbur: Except for the fly.
　　Charlotte: (laughs) Yes, except for the fly. I think now is the time for me to say salutations.
　　Wilbur: What?
　　Charlotte: Salutations.
　　Wilbur: Oh, okay. I’ll leave.
　　Charlotte: No, Wilbur. (laughs) “Salutations?is just a fancy[别致的] way of saying hello.
　　Wilbur: Oh! Hello. Hey, you know my name! What’s yours?
　　Charlotte: My name? My name is Charlotte. Charlotte A. Cavatica.
　　Wilbur: Charlotte. Great name!

　　Wilbur: No! No! Just climb down. I’ll carry you the rest of the way. We’ll go back to the barn, and I’ll take care of you.
　　Charlotte: No, Wilbur. I don’t even have the strength to climb down.
　　Wilbur: You have to. You’re done so much for me!

　　Wilbur: Please come down, Charlotte. Please. There must be something I can do.
　　Charlotte: No, Wilbur. Don’t you know what you’re already done? You made me your friend, and, in doing so, you made a spider beautiful to everyone in that barn.
