比较级和最高级修饰语归纳 much修饰比较级还是最高级

　　一、比较级的修饰语　　主要有 much， far， even， still， a lot， lots， a great deal， a bit， rather， three times， any， no， very much 等。如：
　　A night’s sound sleep made me feel much better. 睡了一夜好觉使我感觉好多了。
　　His illness is far more serious than we thought. 他的病比我们想象的要严重得多。
　　The novel became even more popular after it was made into a movie. 这部小说在拍成电影后更加受欢迎了。
　　The cake I had yesterday was good， but this one is still better. 我昨天吃的蛋糕很棒，但这个蛋糕更好吃呢！
　　Don’t go by train. It’s a lot more expensive. 不要坐火车去。那样花费要多得多。
　　Everything was a great deal simpler many years ago. 许多年前，样样事情都要简单得多。
　　Six inches of snow fell today， and quite a bit more is coming tonight. 今天下了六英寸深的雪，今晚还有相当多雪要下。

　　主要有（by） far， much， nearly， almost， not quite， by no means， very， second， next 等。如：
　　It is much the best place in Britain to live. 这绝对是在英国居住的最好地方。
　　They form by far the largest population group in Africa. 他们构成非洲最最大的人口群。
　　She is by far the most active member in our group. 她是我们组最最活跃的成员。
　　I’m nearly the oldest in the firm. 我几乎是公司里年纪最大的了。
　　This is quite far the most expensive bicycle in the shop. 这是这家商店里最最贵的自行车。
　　Of the three boys Nick is by no means the cleverest. 这三个男孩中，尼克决不是最聪明的。
　　注意：very 不能修饰比较级，却可修饰最高级，但它与一般的修饰最高级的副词有所不同，即它要放在最高级前定冠词之后。如：
　　I want to give my children the very best education I can afford. 我想给我孩子力所能及的最良好的教育。
　　另外，second， third， next 等也要放在定冠词之后。如：
　　The Yellow River is the second longest in China. 黄河是中国的第二大河。
　　This is the third largest building in this city. 这是这个城市里第三大的建筑物。
