　　我们运用英语常不知不觉地犯一些错误，下面举一些实例提醒大家不要忽视这类问题。　　1.把某物忘在某处要用leave而不能用forget。　　forget作及物动词意为“忘记，忘掉”，leave作及物动词表示“遗忘，丢下”。当表示“把某物忘在某处”时，要用“leave+某物+在某处”句型。例如：He left his keys at home.
　　forget作及物动词可以带名词、代词、不定式、动名词和从句等作宾语。例如：
　　We’ll never forget your kindness.
　　I have forgotten where he lives.
　　要注意不定式和动名词作forget的宾语时的不同含义：
　　He forgot to tell her about it.他忘记告诉她这件事。
　　He forgot telling her about it.他忘了他曾经告诉过她这件事。
　　2.表示“找到，发现”用find，不用find out。find out表示“弄清，查明”的意思。例如：
　　She looked everywhere for her gold ring，but didn’t find it.
　　He was found dead when the doctor got there.
　　Please find out when the train starts.
　　3.search有“搜查，搜身”的意思，表示“寻找”应用search for或search...for。例如：
　　The policeman searched him but found nothing.
　　They searched every part of the building.
　　The parents searched for their lost child everywhere.
　　He searched the library for the reference books.
　　4.表示“怎样处理某事”时，英语常用do with的结构，受汉语影响用how和其连用是错误的，因为do是及物动词，要用what作宾语，how是疑问副词，不能作宾语。介词with后面同样接表示某事或某物的名词。例如：
　　I don’t know what I should do with this letter.
　　What will you do with the matter?
　　5.every day和far away是我们非常熟悉的词组，它们都可以连写变为一个单词，常被混淆用错。
　　everyday adj.日常的，普通的，常用作定语；every day每天，是副词词组。例如：
　　everyday dife 日常生活 everyday clothes 便服
　　everyday people 普通人
　　faraway adj.遥远的，心不在焉的，作定语或表语；far away 遥远，作状语、表语或定语。例如：
　　a faraway village 遥远的村子
　　She looks faraway.她看来有些心不在焉。
　　The moon is far away from the earth.（作表语）
　　He lives far away.（作状语）
　　He lives in town far away.（作后置定语）
　　6.注意区别系表结构be open和动词的被动结构be opened。前者open是形容词，表状态，意为“开着的”。例如：
　　The door is open.或The shop was not open yesterday.
　　后者表示动作，是“被打开”的意思。例如：
　　The door was opened by force.门被暴力打开。
　　The new railway will soon be opened to traffic.新铁路即将通车。
