　　For some animals, April Fool"s Day is every day. They use tricks to protect themselves from danger or to find food.对一些动物而言，每天都是愚人节。它们用种种花抬挂号信自己免受危险或者获得食物。
　　
　　Many birds like to eat caterpillars （毛毛虫）. But the feather caterpillar isn"t worried. It looks like a white feather. If you were a bird, would you eat a feather？

　　Sponge crabs（海绵蟹） pick up sponges with their back legs and lay them over their backs. Sponges don"t taste good. So a hungry fish or octopus（章鱼） will pass over(忽略) a crab in a sponge outfit（全套服装）。
　　海绵蟹用后腿捡起海绵放到自己的背上。海绵尝起来味道可不好。所以，一只饥饿的鱼或者章鱼会忽略一只穿着海绵套装的螃蟹。
　　
　　It"s hard to know which end is which with the shingleback skink（松果蜥）. What looks like a second head is really a tail. Sometimes an enemy attacks the wrong "head." Then the skink swings its real head around and bites. Ouch! The enemy usually backs off（后退）.
　　很难搞清松果蜥哪端是头，哪端是尾。看起来像第二颗脑袋的一端实际上是尾巴。有时敌人袭击了错误的“脑袋”，这时蜥蜴就会转过它真正的脑袋来咬。哎哟！敌人常常落荒而逃。

　　The bird" s eye katydid（鸟眼美洲螽斯）usually looks like a dead leaf. But if an enemy pokes（拨弄） it, the katydid pops（突然行动）open its wings. Colored markings on the wings look like owl eyes. What a scary（骇人的） "face"!

　　The horned frog（牛角蛙，枯叶蛙） uses its leafy （叶片状的） looks to blend in with the forest floor. When a tasty spider or lizard comes near, the frog attacks. Yum!
　　枯叶蛙利用它树叶般的外表与森林的地面融为一体。当一只可口的蜘蛛或蜥蜴靠近时，枯叶蛙就会出击。嗯……味道好极了！
　　
　　The frogfish（�鱼）has a built-in（生来的）fishing pole（杆）on its head. At the end of the pole is some "bait（饵）". When a smarter fish comes to nibble（啃，轻咬）, the frogfish opens its mouth wide and sucks in its catch!
　　�鱼头上有一根天生的鱼竿，鱼竿的末端是一些“饵”。当一条小鱼上前去咬时，�鱼就会张大嘴吞掉猎物！
