The Ugly Little Duck A mother duck had five baby(小的)ducks.Four of them were lovely(可爱的),only one was ugly(丑的).
One day,the mother duck took all of her children to see the Queen(皇后)Duck.Looking at the baby ducks,the Queen Duck said,“Yes,you children are lovely,but the biggest one is ugly.He is the mosty ugly duck I’ve ever seen.”Hearing this,the other ducks began to peck(啄)the ugly duch..His sisters and brothers also began to mock(嘲弄)him,the ugly duck was in tears(眼泪汪汪的).His mother was in tears too,she said to him,“My baby,you may go to other places,don’t live with ducks;you may live with the brids,with the animals,they don’t know who you are,they will not say you are ugly,then,they will not peck you.”The ugly duck said in tears，“Mummy,I will go,I will not come back any more.”
The poor little thing walked away,looking back at his mother again and again.
With tears in his eyes,the ugly little duck walked from one place to another.
He came to a big lake,there were many wild ducks(野鸭子)in it.When the wild ducks saw him,they said,“How ugly you are!Don’t come to us.”
The little duck walked on.Suddenly(突然)，a big dog stood before him.The dog looked at him with his big eyes,the dog licked(舔)him with his long tongue(舌头)，and smelt(闻，嗅)him with his nose.At last,the dog went away.The little duck thought,“I’m so ugly,the dog didn’t want to play with me.”
He walked on and stopped in front of a house.There was an old woman in the house,she let the little duck in.After some days,the old woman said,“Go away,little duck,you cannot lay eggs(下蛋)，you are useless(没用的)an ugly.”The little duck left the house again.
He walked on from one place to another but no one wanted him.
One day,the little duck flew(fly～flew)up and up in the sky.Up!Up!At last he came down out of the sky into a large agrden.He saw three beautiful swans(天鹅)in the river.He began to swim towards them and thought that they might kill him.He put his head down near the water,and saw...It was not the body of a fat(肥的)，ugly little duck.It was the body of a beautiful white swan.The“little duck”was happy,because he had come from a swan’s egg!
丑小鸭
鸭妈妈有5只鸭宝宝。其中4只小鸭都很可爱，只有一只长得丑。
有一天，鸭妈妈带着她的几个孩子去见鸭皇后。鸭皇后看着小鸭子说：“不错，你的孩子们长得很可爱，只是最大的那个长得丑。他是我见过的最丑的小鸭。”听见鸭皇后这样说，其他的小鸭子便开始啄这只丑小鸭；他的兄弟姐妹也开始嘲笑他，丑小鸭眼里含着泪。鸭妈妈含着眼泪对他说：“我的孩子，你到其他地方去吧，不要和鸭子们生活在一块儿，你可以和小鸟，和动物们一块儿生活，他们不知道你是谁，不会说你丑陋，因此，他们不会啄你。”丑小鸭含着眼泪说：“妈米，我要走了，我再也不回来了。”
可怜的小东西走了，一步一回头，望着他的妈妈。
丑小鸭眼里含着眼泪，走啊走，从一个地方走到另一个地方。
他走到一个大湖边上，湖里有很多野鸭子。野鸭子看见了丑小鸭，说：“你多丑啊！不要到我们这儿来。”
小鸭子继续往前走。突然，一条大狗站在他面前，狗睁大了眼睛看着他，伸出长长的舌头舔他，用鼻子闻他。最后，狗走开了。小鸭子想：“我这么丑，连狗都不想和我玩。”
他继续走，走到一座房子前停下来，房子里有一位老婆婆，她让小鸭子走了进去。过了几天，这位老婆婆说：“走吧，小鸭子，你不能生蛋，你既没有用，长得又丑。”小鸭子再次离开了这座房子。
他从一个地方又走到另一个地方，还是没有人要他。
有一天，小鸭子走着走着，忽然就飞了起来。飞啊，飞啊，他最后降落在一个园子里。他看见河面上有三只天鹅，多漂亮啊。他开始向他们游过去，他想他们也许会打死他的。他把头埋向水面，然后他看见――这不是一个肥胖、丑陋的小鸭子，而是一只漂亮的白天鹅！“小鸭子”真高兴啊，原来他是从天鹅蛋里孵出来的呀！
